SpoiledLatina Day named in mitú's Top Latin/WOC Conference list

This is exciting news! Last year in September, mitú, named Spoiled Latina Day in the Top Women Conference/Summit for Latinas and Women of Color. What started off as a celebration of my blogs 7th anniversary turned into a city proclamation and the beginning of Spoiled Latina DayI created this event to celebrate the amazing women who often times aren't being recognized by their community. Also, as a day to give back to the community of women who follow me on social media. I created a space to not only meet my followers, but for all women in attendance to inspire each other,  to grow and build their network through mine and empower women to spoil themselves and not to forget to put themselves first.

I think it is giving, what its suppose to give!

Save the date - July 16, 2022

Thank you mitú!

YES To The Census!

YES To The Census!

Hey guys!
You may have noticed a letter from the Census in the mail recently. That' because in mid-March, homes across the country began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. It has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone or by mail—all without having to meet a census taker. I literally just finished doing mine for my house hold and it took less than 10 minutes of my life.

In doing my part to support the importance of the Census, I recently stopped by one of the murals actually this was the first mural in Houston to go up. In collaboration with UpArt Studio the Census is doing its part to spread the word about the importance of filling out the forms and since we love art in Houston, what better way to collaborate  with a diverse group of artist from Up Art Studio.
Remember guys, the 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Lets do our part and say
#YESToTheCensus

Valentines gifting on CW!

"Roses are great, Chocolates are good, but give me something I can use year round and I'll love you forever!" I just made that quote up and it couldn't be farther from my truth.  I recently was a guest on Houston's CW 39's Morning Dose and shared some of my suggestions on how to shop, what to gift and why I think personalizing a gift box is the way to go.

Gifts are from Macy's and I used the Macy's personal stylist

Thank you CW!

Cheers to 2020!

Cheers to 2020!

What a time we had at the Winter White Holiday Soirée a week before Christmas. At the end of 2015, I decided to host a holiday party, I called up my friend Sandra and told her my idea and we made it happen. Fast forward to December of 2019, same scenario and same outcome... amazing! It’s always great to work with people that share the same passion and drive when creating an experience. We invited a few friends, associates, colleagues and family - we asked everyone to bring a new and un-used blanket to help “Keep Houston Warm”.

I reached out to a few local entrepreneurs, Hennessy and my Aeromexico family to celebrate with us and the outcome was perfect!

The vibes were unmatched!

Cheers to 2020, to dreaming, believing and becoming!

Bring on the candy canes and holiday cookies, Crest has you covered!

The holiday season is officially here you guys and I love all of the holiday cheer that comes along with it. Lots of fun, festive events and food and sweet treats that feel like they last until the New Year!

The holidays are not only a time to celebrate, but also a time to give, inspire and grow. That's why I love partnering with Crest. I love how they granted a wish of a lifetime by casting 86-year-old mother and grandmother, Bertha Nunn, in their new holiday commercial. Crest had the opportunity to fulfill Bertha’s wishby working with Wish of a Lifetime, a non-profit organization that grants wishes for seniors across the country. Bertha’s lifelong dream has been to star in a national television commercial and Crest helped make this happen through their new holiday commercial.

What a wonderful way to spread love by providing her the opportunity to make her feel special, and to show us all that dreams are always attainable no matter at what age.

Bertha's story was so sweet because even at her age, she was finally able to do what she always wanted to do. It made me realize that we all have that certain dream that we are scared to chase and if time keeps passing us, it’ll only stay a thought, a dream, a wish.

Watch the commercial, its so cute!

Vodka Ice Cream with a buzz!

Vodka Ice Cream with a buzz!
Happy Monday Spoiled Ones!

I have the perfect dessert to bring over to your next girls night out, your next holiday party or simply for you to just sit on the couch and spoil yourself with - it’s called Arctic Buzz. Arctic Buzz,  is a delicious, vodka infused, silky smooth tasting ice cream that comes in a variety of assorted flavors. Raspberry, Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Birthday Cake, Vanilla, Key Lime Pie and Coconut. They taste as good as they sound, trust me. You can even pair it with your favorite pie, cake or create a cocktail and serve it up!

Each pint of Arctic Buzz packs a full shot of vodka, anywhere from 8.6 to 8.9 percent which is actually pretty high when you compare it to others. My favorite flavor is the raspberry flavor with smooth hand churned fresh cream and raspberries followed by a kick of raspberry vodka. Delicious!

You can find Arctic Buzz at local convenient stores around town but check their website for a list of retailers.

William Levy sits down with Spoiled Latina and talks movies, family and....

Today is the release of the new movie by multi talented movie actor, producer and entrepreneur William Levy. En Brazos De Un Asesino.  Victor (William Levy) has a deep secret – he is a cold-blooded assassin. Smooth talking and seductive, Victor was raised to do one thing only, which is to kill for money. When he is sent to the home of a brutal drug lord to collect payment for his most recent hit, he encounters the beautiful Sarai (Alicia Sanz), who has been forced to spend the last 9 years of her life with the drug lord. After Victor leaves the compound, Sarai seizes her chance at freedom by hiding out in Victor’s car. But things don’t go as planned and instead of being transported back to her home, she finds herself free from one dangerous man only to be caught in the clutches of another. While on the run from the vengeful drug lord and his brutal henchmen, Victor’s conscience catches up with him as he risks all that he stood for to protect his captive. In the end, the power Sarai unknowingly holds over Victor and their undeniable attraction may be what places
her right in the arms of a killer.

I chat with MiTu about Double Standards, Not Being A ‘Cookie Cutter’ And Prioritizing Your Own Self Care

Your girl made it to MiTu!!

This has got to be one of my favorite moments of 2019. As I write this, I am looking back at all of the sacrifices, hard work, late nights and early moments that I have had to endure, to get here, to enjoy this moment, at this moment.  Thank you to the team at MiTu for including me in your write ups.
I love that I was so transparent in this interview. I was able to open up, and keep it real and share the vulnerable side of Spoiled Latina.

I've been blogging, creating content, and building a community and although I am not where I want to be, I am so happy with where I am at.

So, thank you. Yes, you...for reading this, for keeping SL alive and for being a part of my journey.

3 Ways To Stay Positive

3 Ways To Stay Positive

Life. It's so beautiful, so hard, so easy, so confusing, so great! Don't you agree?

We've all have said it to someone or have had someone say it to us "Stay Positive". It's so easy to say those words, but for many people staying positive when the going gets rough is, rough. Staying positive is a mental task we all must learn how to master in order to live a peaceful, happy life. Being Positive is also a daily challenge that requires focus and attention and you MUST be intentional about staying positive, because we all know the mind plays tricks on us.

3 Ways To Stay Positive:
  1. Stay optimistic. As mentioned above, being positive requires your mind to be in a peaceful state. It requires you to shift your thinking to that one of optimistic and hopeful outcomes. The only way to have a good day or a better outcome is to "VISUALIZE" yourself having one. Stay Optimistic. Yes, life is hard. You are not the only one doubting yourself but if you don't have a spark of optimism and hope than you will stay stuck and WE Don't stay stuck, we move!
  2. Stay away from those feelings, people, things and energies that "DON'T FEEL RIGHT". Often times, as humans we are worried about hurting someone else because of fear that they won't like you or they won't value your opinion. If something is not "feeling" well. If something is "not going your way" - you must shift your mindset and free your self from those feelings. You've got to seek energies who fulfill your soul with power and fuel your mind with goodness. Remember life is too short for the B.S. and I don't mean bags and shoes.
  3. Exercise regularly, eat well and sleep enough! Sounds so cliché but when I tell you this has been working or me lately, it's so true! I used to dislike looking at myself, until one day I had enough. I joined Hard Core Pilates and changed my mindset. I am going to be healthy, I am going to feel good, I am going to eat less but still eat what I love and I am going to take responsibility of my life and my feelings towards myself. Let me tell you, it hasn't been easy and if it was easy I probably wouldn't do it. It's a mental game we must win, its a mental game against our own selfs to be the best person we can be. When you start feeling good from the inside, and working out your outer body - the feeling is different. You start loving yourself more. BUT IT ALL START WITH staying Optimistic. If I wasn't optimistic, about joining Pilates, than I would never have uploaded these pictures. Thank you Wayne, Claire and my girls for the encouragement.
Trust the outcome, work hard, OWN your MIND and do it for yourself....Stay Positive!
