Sprint Latino sends me to LA for the Latin American Music Awards

William Blamco, Julissa Bermudez, Miss PV, Me

Thank you to Sprint Latino who sent me out to L.A. to cover the 1st Annual Latin American Music Awards, which aired live on Telemundo, October 9th.

My LA trip started out on Tuesday morning as I traveled to the west coast from Houston.  I attended the Latina Magazine Hot List event that Tuesday evening where I took the photo above. I of course, caught up with my Team Hennessy family while in LA and since Wednesday was my birthday; my friends wanted to to take me out on the town. Although nothing was really "poppin" we had a quick bite and drinks and called it a night. I woke up Wednesday to what felt like Strep Throat. I felt horrible,  however it was my birthday and as they say in Hollywood...the Show must go on! Ate a yummy brunch, visited some friends on Fairfax than went back to the room for some rest because the awards were the following day and I knew that if I hadn't rested I would have regretted it.

Thursday, October 9th was the day of the awards  I made sure my Sprint phones were charged, my battery packs and my camera was too. The 1st ever Latin American Music Awards were going to be shown on Telemundo live and there I was a blogger on the red carpet, doing what I love. I met some new media friends and ran into some I already knew.  I had barely slept the night before due to me being sick with the chills and if you were following me on my snap chat, than you know how bad it was. I sat in my "media post" and waited for the celebs to arrive. After about 2 hours, the first celebrity showed up and than they all did. The whole experience was beautiful, from being on the carpet to seeing people I grew up watching to meeting new artists...the energy was great. Telemundo put on a great show, and looking forward to next year!

Take a look at my favorite photos that I took of all the beautiful Latinos in Hollywood from my iPhone.
I will mention, that my phone service was great the whole time on the carpet, Instagram was updated on the minute and I am just glad I had a good 4G network!

Adrienne Bailone - I met her on Tuesday at the Latina event, it was great to see her on the carpet and so happy she is living her dream.
Myrka Dellanos

Jesse y Joy
Leonardo Rocco - Hairstylist to the stars - I met him at Hispanicize last year. Super nice guy!
Natalie Morales - News anchor on NBC

Angelica Vale - an icon. Latinos love her and her energy and charisma is everything!

She looked grea and I think she's doing a great job representing for the Rivera's. I wish I had talked to her more..she seems like her and I would click lol

A night out with Marissa Lopez Wong - Mario Lopez sister

A couple of weeks ago, Mario Lopez was set to make an appearance at Lumen Lounge and due to things beyond our control he could not make it. However after speaking to him, he asked me to host his sister and brother in law and I gladly did. Marissa Lopez Wong is an author as well as sister to top Latin TV Host Mario Lopez and Kailee Wong is a retired NFL player. They live in Houston with their children and after a good dinner they celebrated the night away at Lumen.
Waiting on when Mario will remake his appearance, hopefully it will be soon!

Better Together (sponsored post)

With my hubby and little man in the house things can get hectic. We all have packed schedules that require us to be on the go all day. That’s why I love using Caress Daily Silk Body wash Value Pack and my boys are smelling great with Axe Black from Sam’s Club. They are quick, easy to travel with, and smell great.

But best of all, Sam’s Club carries them! So, I can grab them while I am stocking the house up, and we have enough for both my guys!
Preparing for the day, freshening up mid-day, or getting ready for a night out, a quick blast of confidence from Axe is what my boys need.
But with Axe Black and Caress, my entire family is #BetterTogetherSC!

And Caress is for me, it gives me just what I need to start my day feeling fresh and lovely. I also love the reassurance that I smell great through out the day.
And after a long day it is the perfect way to relax.
And Sam’s makes it so easy to pick it up and go with their new app. Scan and Go! It makes my shopping trips so much quicker a…

Meeting with Romeo Santos...So Nasty

I love music and as most of us do, we also have our favorites. I was fortunate enough to meet one of my favorite musicians, Romeo Santos of the mega latin group Aventura while he was in Houston promoting his dvd release for "The King Stays King" a concert dvd from where he  sold out at Madison Square Garden for about 3 nights consecutively. He's like the male version of J.Lo, that hard to get close to.

There must have been over 2k people in line waiting to get an autograph, catch a glimpse, a smile, and if lucky a hug from this latino heartthrob.... luckily I didn't have to wait in a line. I got a smile, a hug and we spoke and laughed about some of his previous work and very first cd. I was waiting on him while he met other fans for a private meet and greet the radio hosted and honestly I don't know how he does it...I was laughing the whole time, at the requests some of the fans were making, than at the replies the management would give. His management took car…
