Selena Day
Selena Quintanilla, the Queen of Tex-Mex would've been 43 years old today. Although it's been 19 years since her death, we remember her as the beautiful, vibrant singer that brought two worlds together. In the two decades that have gone by, there has still been noting quite like the sound of Selena. Read what we wrote earlier this week.

So in honor of Selena Day put on Bidi Bidi Bom Bom and celebrate her mark on this world.

RIP and Happy Birthday Selena!

SpoiledLatina - OOTD
Happy Monday SpoiledOnes! It has been a little while since I posted an outfit of the day. I received a lot of compliments on my outfit this past Saturday. Luckily, I had my camera to capture the look.

`  While shopping for a special project, I ran into this pretty little number at my local TJ Maxx. I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of shoes in my closet, added a necklace and accessories from ShopSpoiledlLatina and boom.

2014 is set to see lots of detailing, sophisticated and intricate embellishments and soft neutral color palettes that will be found all over the upcoming prom scene.
From such a big variety, and so many colors to choose from, the search can be bit overwhelming but to make your search a little easier whether it’s for your prom, your sisters’, or your daughters’ here are the Top 5 Trends for Prom 2014 Dresses:

1.      Lace/Illusion: Lace trims, lace overlay, you name it! Lace is a big trend for Prom because it brings elegance and grace to an overall look. In previous years we have seen small accents of lace, but this year it ranges from necklines to complete overlays!

MAC Lipstick and #OOTD!

Monday, April 7, 2014

Hey Spoiled One's!
It's the start of a new week, can y'all believe we are already in the second week of April 2014?!
It seems like time is just flying by, but nonetheless a new day is ALWAYS a blessing.
This weekend I attended one of my friend's philanthropy event for her Spirit Group, and the dress code was dressy casual. The weather was nice, and I had a new romper in my closet that I hadn't worn yet because the right occasion just didn't seem to come by.
One of the spring fashion trends we shared with y'all was the floral pattern, and this romper has a floral mesh lining at the top, so it was the perfect occasion to wear it! Although it is black, which is not a big spring color, I must share with y'all that black is my favorite color so no matter what season it is, I will wear BLACK.
I paired the romper with a pair of black sandals, so I knew I had to add a pop of color somehow.
I had the perfect pop of color at my hands reach; in my makeup bag.

Classy Ratchet: Recklessly Elegant

Tamara Wyatt, an accomplished Businesswoman/Mother has developed what she likes to call a “Lifestyle Brand.”

Her brand depicts two sides of a coin; it merges the lifestyle of a professional woman that handles her business day to day, but is still able to have a great night out with her girlfriends.
In society, especially as women, we face many obstacles and expectations from others.
There are certain standards we must meet in order to be seen as “professionals” such as not being around environments that portray or insinuate things a “professional woman” wouldn’t do.

Praise The Makeup and the Natural Look

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

I know, as a girl, I have felt self-conscious before for wearing makeup almost every day.
A lot of girls feel like if they wear makeup everyday, they are hiding themselves.
We all admire the girls who always wear makeup AND the girls who can pull off the “natural” look.

Neither one is better or less than the other.
They are just at different points in their day, week, career, etc.
So if you have a hectic schedule, a dab of concealer, a pop of mascara, a dash of blush and lip gloss can go a VERY long way to hide those long nights of work or studying.
The way we present ourselves every day says a lot about who we are.
You never know who you’re going to meet at work, school, or simply at a coffee shop. But always know how to prepare accordingly for each specific occasion.

Latina Actress On The Uprise

Friday, March 21, 2014

Latina Actress On The Uprise
Latinas have emerged in the entertainment industry since the 1920’s. Actresses such as Dolores Del Rio paved the way for Latinas in Hollywood.

However, at that point in Hollywood history Latinas were limited to certain roles or characters such as being mysterious, sultry, and guided by their emotions.
As time has passed we have seen an increase of Latinas in Hollywood, some of who include Salma Hayek, Eva Mendez, Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Vergara.
The range of characters portrayed by Latinas have also expanded significantly, and the Latino audience has progressively grown in Hollywood as well.
Latina’s are no longer being displayed as JUST the maids, or the exotic women on the big screen; those days are becoming history.
An uprising Latina actress has made her way to the entertainment industry who shows a promising future.
Suveria Mota, born in the Dominican Republic, moved to New York City at the age of four along with her family. Suveria started getting involved in dancing, and acting as early as early as elementary school.
She pursued a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Lehman College, but as soon as she graduated she went on to pursue her long life dream: to become an actress in Hollywood.
Just a few months later she joined SAG-AFTRA, an American labor union that represents over 105,000 film and television principal and performers worldwide.
She has featured in various shows such as “Glee,” and is currently filming various movies such as "Wolf on the Moon" and "Nocturnal Reflections."
Latina actresses have faced various stereotypes and obstacles to emerge in the entertainment industry, but actresses such as Suviera are continuing to pave the way to improve the outlook on Latina actresses.
She is pursuing her dream, and is not letting the stereotypes or the limited roles stop her from empowering herself as a LATINA actress in Hollywood.
I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of this Dominican beauty in the near future.

Bebe Launches Eyewear for Spring/Summer 2014

Bebe just gave us another reason to love them even more!

To go along with their stylish collection of apparel, they have launched a BRAND NEW sun collection of eyewear for spring/summer 2014. “Bebe is a lifestyle brand, and aside from our apparel, non-apparel is a big part of our business. Launching sunglasses was a natural next step in expanding our accessories collection and rounding out our girls’ lifestyles needs,” CEO Steve Birkhold said.
As we welcome the official first day of spring, sunglasses are a MUST have for just about everyone, and what better than the new stylish collection of Bebe Eyewear. From new assimilations of the classics, to traditional shapes, Bebe incorporates mirrored lenses, the plastic vs. metal combination, one of our favorite’s full volume glam shapes, and much more!
What’s not to love?!
The face of Bebe Nina Agdal helped launch the brand’s sunglass spring/summer campaign last Friday in Miami, Florida. Fans eagerly lined up around the block to meet the Sports Illustrated cover girl. Agdal signed autographs and modeled the new Bebe eyewear collection.
So what are you waiting for?
Go out to a Bebe store nationwide, or www.bebe.com and SPOIL yourself with the new eyewear collection. The collection ranges from $68-$88; stylish AND affordable, a combination we simply CANNOT resist.
