SpoiledLatina on The Not So Cool Podcast

SpoiledLatina on The Not So Cool Podcast

I love when people create their own platforms from scratch and it begins to grow. That's what happened with Fred and Mike...2 photographers from Houston who created this podcast as a way to express their "cool" in "The Not So Cool" podcast.

I was invited as their guest this week and we talked about my career, how I started in this industry with SwishaHouse the record label, to starting SpoiledLatina, working with major liquor brands and now taking my talents to Latina Magazine.

Honored as a Boss at Boss Life Awards

Hi Babes! It's been a long month already and its just the beginning of 2018. Happy New Year to you and yours by the way! I pray this year brings you all the desires of your heart. The year is off to a fantastic start and if its any indication of how the rest of the year will be, this year will be grand. It's the 10th anniversary of SpoiledLatina. 10? yes 10! I am working on SL Day (more info on that in the coming weeks)

January 16, I received a Boss Life award from the Boss Life Foundation that is founded by Slim Thug who is one of Houston’s own and a well known rapper in Texas and a good friend of mine. The Boss Life Foundation honored other outstanding individuals at the 4th Annual Boss Life Ball at the home of the World Series Champs, Union Station inside Minute Maid Park.  These entrepreneurs have a proven track record of being extraordinary entrepreneurs. The recipients of the Boss Life award recipients  Tilman Fertitta who is the owner of Landry's Restaurants and the Houston Rockets (Billion Dollar Buyer), Daymond John founder of FUBU and on Shark Tank,  rapper Bernard “Bun B” Freeman , radio personality Madd Hatta from The Madd Hatta Morning Show, and a popular Houston bakery owner known as the Cake Ladi than there is me!

I was surprised that I was chosen to be honored. I have known the guys and supported them for years and for them to notice my hustle was special. Slim and Boss Life inspire me and I appreciate them for including me in this years festivities.

I was the only Latina to receive the Boss Life award all for starting  SpoiledLatina.com almost 10 years ago as a way to empower women through beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. Through the years I have become more than just a lifestyle blogger, I am a popular entertainment and brand specialist. If there is something exciting going on in Houston you will find me there.  Over the years I've also worked with top spirits brands creating brand affinity and drive the culture through entertainment.  This past year I was the brand specialist in charge off all things Ciroc/Deleon in the Houston market and I moving forward am the social media correspondent for Latina Magazine.

French Montana x Spoiled Latina

Sunday, November 26, 2017

I hosted the Ciroc French Vanilla party in Houston with French Montana earlier this month and it was a huge success. The vibe was right, the music was great and the drinks were flowing and delicious. While the party had more women than men, Slim Thug, Propaine and a few other Houston male influencers showed up to support the night.

French had a great time meeting guests, while mingling and snapping photos with fans. The new Ciroc Flavor French Vanilla is inspired by French Montana and one of my personal favorites of all the Ciroc flavors.

The video which you can find on my here shows how fun the party was. Click and enjoy!

SLDay 2017 at Republic Square Houston

A whole month and a half ago, I celebrated my blogs 9th Anniversary. As I am writing this its hard to believe that I have been sharing my stories, my lifestyle and myself with you guys for over 9 years. What started off as a hobby has literally turned into a full time career that I am extremely proud of. I have changed in so many ways, grown, had a child, traveled so much and as we all have, I struggle with many personal insecurities but I am blessed to say…I am still here!

Blogging has been my personal getaway and in some way my therapy. Although, my time is so limited between my son, life and brand ambassador work it's hard to sit and write - but I love writing blog posts. I love thinking of ways to connect with you and share personal stories that I know you can relate to. It gives me time to reflect and think about how amazing life is and how impactful SL Day really is.

SLDay 2017 was held at on the beautiful grounds of what is now Republic Square Houston. The property which was once the Exxon West Campus is owned and operated by Boxer Property. Republic Square sits on a 35 acre property and is currently leasing nice, modern and affordable office space located on the I-10 West (West Corridor). Most of the leases are small businesses which is a plus…because you are surrounded by the go getter energy of the people and the amazing property views. The strolls throughout the grounds, the man made lake, fish, turtles, ducks, it’s a little piece of Houston that is truly a hidden gem. I literally just explained the vibe of getting to the event center at Republic Square. The event center is a open space with floor to ceiling windows, multiple conference areas - big and beautiful.

SLDay was catered by WhatchaCravin. Although, I created the menu - I was so busy that day that I didn't get to taste the food. I heard so many great reviews though and thankful for their sponsorship and the good food!

Thanks again!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for following my journey. Thank you for sharing, retweeting, liking and even if you just read or simply watch…
Thank you!

Ford! For the second year in a row, you have sponsored SL Day and couldn't be more grateful to you for your support. They strongly believe in the women of Houston and through their sponsorship, SL Day was made possible. Gracias!

Lili's Balloons did an amazing job with my vision of how I wanted it to be. She understood the idea and fully exceeded my expectations. The colors, the flamingo ... I can not wait to order more decorations from Lili!

HEB was gracious to sponsor as well.... the juices, cupcakes, water, fruit and coffee were all from My HEB!

Mi familia, so happy they were in town for my day!
