MAC Lipstick and #OOTD!

Hey Spoiled One's!
It's the start of a new week, can y'all believe we are already in the second week of April 2014?!
It seems like time is just flying by, but nonetheless a new day is ALWAYS a blessing.
This weekend I attended one of my friend's philanthropy event for her Spirit Group, and the dress code was dressy casual. The weather was nice, and I had a new romper in my closet that I hadn't worn yet because the right occasion just didn't seem to come by.
One of the spring fashion trends we shared with y'all was the floral pattern, and this romper has a floral mesh lining at the top, so it was the perfect occasion to wear it! Although it is black, which is not a big spring color, I must share with y'all that black is my favorite color so no matter what season it is, I will wear BLACK.
I paired the romper with a pair of black sandals, so I knew I had to add a pop of color somehow.
I had the perfect pop of color at my hands reach; in my makeup bag.
Becoming a member of the #SpoiledTeam meant I had to step my game up, so about a month ago I went out in the search for my first lipstick EVER. I apply makeup on a regular basis just to keep a fresh look, but my eyes had never been drawn to wearing lipstick, mainly because I have very full lips and I thought it would just look like "too much."
Boy, was I wrong.
When I went to look for a lipstick I had in mind a Plum color, but I ended up deciding on a lighter tone. I went into a MAC Cosmetics store, and a very helpful employee suggested the color "Media." She helped me try it on, and I completely fell in love. The shade was a great complement for my fair skin tone, so I had to take it. I will definitely be going back for more lipsticks, which I will share with y'all in the future.
When trying on the romper, my new lipstick immediately came to mind. I knew the lipstick would be that perfect pop of color I needed to complete my outfit. Since the lipstick is a bold color, I went with simple eye makeup. I applied a winged eyeliner, and two coats of mascara. I curled my hair for the occasion as well. Curls are very chic, and add personality to an entire look.
The only accessory missing was a bright clutch/purse to complement the black romper, but unfortunately I only have a black one (go figure). However, I will be on the look out for a bight colored clutch since it is another big fashion trend for Spring 2014!
So without further ado here is my #motd and #ootd for Saturday evening.
