Heart of Haiti Initiative

Monday, July 2, 2012

Spoiled Ones, we all remember the devastating earthquake in Haiti that demolished almost everything. Since then the people of Haiti are full of hope and are determined to rebuild their lives. Social Entrepreneur Willa Shalit, along with The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and Macy's have launched The Heart of Haiti  "Trade, Not Aid" initiative.

The wonderful thing about this project is that The Heart of Haiti initiative provides artists with the opportunity to make a living, feed their families and provide for their children to go to school. The Heart of Haiti collection which is being sold in over 25 Macy's stores nationwide and on Macys.com features over 40 home decode items including quilts, metalwork, ceramics and paintings. The collection is amazing.

I know we all shop online and since the holidays are approaching, I just ask that we shop the collection and while giving to someone we love, we also give a family in need the extra push they need to survive.

view  the collection here and if you purchase soon, get extra savings during the 4th of July specials!
