Houston we have a Drybar!
So excited to find out that Houston will be launching a Drybar  on September 13, 2013 in Uptown Park.

With Drybar's in New York, LA, San Francisco, Atlanta and Dallas it's about time the 4th largest city in the U.S gets its very own.

Founded by longtime stylist Alli Webb, Drybar has become a regular stop for celebs such as Cindy Crawford, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Zooey Deschanel, Rose McGowan, Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Garner, Maria Shriver and Nicky Hilton.

Drybar Houston will provide flawless blowouts at a flat price of $35, regardless of hair length or thickness (wash included!).

Drybar’s style list reads like your favorite cocktail menu:

the Cosmopolitan (lots of loosecurls), the Straight Up (simple and straight), the Southern Comfort (big hair with volume), the Mai Tai (messy and beachy), the Manhattan (sleek and smooth) and for the little ladies, the Shirley Temple at $24.

At the core of that experience is Drybar’s top-of-the-line customer service and obsessive attention to every last detail. The Houston shop, located at 1141-3 Uptown Park Blvd., will feature Drybar’s signature look, including custom Italian chairs, tufted fabric walls, marble bar with built-in iPhone dockings stations, and flat screens quietly featuring your favorite chick flicks.

Drybar recently added some heavy hitters to its board with the addition of Paul Pressler, former CEO of Gap Inc. and a president at The Walt Disney Company, and Janet Gurwitch, founder and former CEO of Laura Mercier Cosmetics and an executive vice president at Neiman Marcus. “Drybar has created an incredibly cool and innovative experience for the consumer,” Gurwitch said. “I am excited to be part of this impressive team to further expand the Drybar brand.”

My appointment is set and I can't wait!

Love "El Chavo" *giveaway

So happy that I get to share one of my favorite childhood tv shows with my 3 year old son!  El Chavo del Ocho is a Mexican iconic tv show, that has found its way into the hearts of many young children in the U.S. El Chavo is now an english cartoon that our children can watch, learn and connect with their latin heritage. I know my son is loving it!

I remember going to my grandmothers house in Mexico and watching El Chapolin Colorado and eating pan dulce and drinking a cold coca cola. Those were the good old days,  I wish I had a picture of myself dressed as "La Chilindrina" for Halloween one year, I later regretted it, because for about a year or 2 after that my family would call me, La Chilindrina. lol

giveaway time!

Share your childhood El Chavo memory and you could win "The El Chavo prize pack"
plus there are other ways to win as well :)
