A night out with Marissa Lopez Wong - Mario Lopez sister

A couple of weeks ago, Mario Lopez was set to make an appearance at Lumen Lounge and due to things beyond our control he could not make it. However after speaking to him, he asked me to host his sister and brother in law and I gladly did. Marissa Lopez Wong is an author as well as sister to top Latin TV Host Mario Lopez and Kailee Wong is a retired NFL player. They live in Houston with their children and after a good dinner they celebrated the night away at Lumen.
Waiting on when Mario will remake his appearance, hopefully it will be soon!

Petra Nemcova visits Houston

Supermodel, Petra Nemcova launched her candle line in Houston last week at Cakewalk Style and I was delighted to be there. Be The Light is a luxury home décor brand that's inspired by Petra's life of traveling. The scents are fascinating just as the countries she has discovered while learning their treasures. I loved her Mexican Cacao Mystique candle however they all had a beautiful scent.
Besides landing the covers of Sports Illustrated and walking the runways, she is on the cover of Forbes Life this month. She had not physically seen the magazine herself since its release, she was glad I brought it with me. I felt bad about her not seeing it before, as she skimmed through the pages looking for her spread I thought about giving her the magazine but I also wanted it for myself.
She was so nice and gracious of the Hennessy VS that I gifted her.

The possibilities of how to mix Hennessy VS are endless!!
I made this Martini and named her "The SpoiledOne" lol ✨✨ I had the opportunity to create a mixed drink with all my favorite fresh ingredients while in NY at the Hennessy offices back in June. (click here if you missed it) I was super excited to make something with real fresh fruit and if you guys would have seen all the ingredients we could have used to create our concoction that day, you would have been thrilled too. I enjoyed pressing the natural juices out of the watermelon and mango to create a masterpiece of a drink. lol, it tasted like a masterpiece.
So this is what I used to create my award winning drink...maybe not award winning but I did win a friendly mixed drink contest amongst my peers.
Real Watermelon, Mango and Pineapple juice, simple syrup, 2 oz of Hennessy, ice, shaken and poured... garnished with grated cinnamon and a fresh mint leaf.
Can u say #yuuuummmmy?!

INGREDIENTS
1.5 parts Hennessy V.S
3.5 parts of apple juice (unfiltered)

Hosted my 1st Hennessy Privilege Pairing

I had a wonderful time on this past Wednesday as I hosted my first Hennessy Privilege Pairing as the Hennessy Ambassador for Houston. I invited some of Houston's top influencers to join me and I truly appreciate everyone for attending.
The evening started off with the guests receiving a Privilege Passport which granted them access to the experience. Hennessy Privilege Splash was the welcome drink, which was served inside the beautiful wine room of Brennan's of Houston restaurant. The Splash, which is similar to a Mojito and oh so yummy was garnished with mint leaves and left me wanting more. My guests than proceeded to taste 4 different styles of drinks created with Hennessy Privilege. The passport was stamped at each station which was paired with a food appetizer complementing the drink pallet. Sweet, Sour, Bitter and Spicy.
Spicy was my favorite...the recipe will be below :)

3-4 pineapple chunks
1-2 pieces of muddled jalapeño
2 pieces lime juice
.5 oz simple syrup
