Latinas Love Sneakers X Foot Locker Houston

Latinas Love Sneakers X Foot Locker Houston

In honor of Latin Heritage Month and in partnership with Foot Locker Houston and Reebok, I hosted and produced an intimate Fire Side Chat with Latina entrepreneurs in the city who are inspiring entrepreneurial women to chat entrepreneurship, self care and being Latinas who love sneakers.   We were at event capacity, the RSVP list was full and everyone showed up!

I am passionate about elevating and celebrating Latinas in all spaces and I felt so proud as an array of beautiful Latinas were excited,  and lined up outside as they also were excited about the festivities happening inside of the store. Honestly, It was a so beautiful to see women who looked like me, rocking sneakers in their own style and be excited to be at an event that was celebrating us and our culture.

Guests arrived to the tunes of DJ Gloss playing all our favorite girl power anthems, they also enjoyed the mini Flautas by our friends ADIPTIVE, drank the delicious lemonades by mini entrepreneur Victorias Lemonades, and each received a grab & go box filled with goodies from Latinx business in the city before having a seat for the hour long convo with the ladies who were rocking Cardi B x Reebok  Alekza Latte, Sonia Thomas, Elyse Espinoza and Cassidy Williams. We went hard for Cardi and we all looked so cute!

The feedback from everyone was so positive ... We all either laughed, cried and inspired one another through conversations about our culture, supporting other women, making time for family, breaking generational and being a Latina boss and what that means. Everyone walked away with new knowledge, a new contact and a private shopping experience.

Thanks again to Foot Locker and Reebok for supporting Latinas who Love Sneakers!

The amazing vendors who helped make it happen! Let’s continue to build and pour $$ into our community!

28 Ways to Bring a Smile to Your Face (& Others) on World Smile Day

28 Ways to Bring a Smile to Your Face (& Others) on World Smile Day

Hey Spoiled Ones! Are you a chica who wears a cute lippie under her mask? Us too! We do it because it feels good to look good, to smile, even when no one else can see it. TRUST--they can feel it and it’s catching! Pro tip: It’s also healing. Not only does it elevate our mood and relieve stress – but smiling itself is also believed to make us happier, improve sleep and extend our lifespan. Smiling is contagious, your smile can change someone else’s mood.

So why don’t we do it more? Well, between the ongoing pandemic, social distancing, wearing masks, and beginning to navigate a new world, smiles were and continue to be much harder to come by these days—but they are needed even more!

Don’t worry, we got you. October 1st is World Smile Day and we're helping you (and others) #showyoursmile via moments of joy and meaningful connection. Inspired by nature's beauty and resilience, we too are reminded that there is strength in vulnerability and the power to make big change through small acts of kindness.

Remember, Spoiled Latina is all about positivity and self care, so…Here are 25 ways to bring a smile to your face and the faces of others on World Smile Day and beyond.

Becky G talks mental health, her ultimate music collab and receives her own day at Spoiled Latina Day!

The sixth annual Spoiled Latina Day was awesome! Literally, amazing! Sorry, not sorry about the exclamation points, I mean how else, will you know how happy I am if I don't use them?!

Spoiled Latina Day is all about empowering women to become whoever they want to be, being prideful, taking self care serious and spreading positivity. It is a day that I created after receiving a proclamation in my honor back in 2015 and my own way of giving back to the city of Houston for the amazing opportunities this city has offered and I took without looking back! The Houston Chronicle did a recap of SLDAY that you should check out... its such a great article that I am beyond grateful for.

Becky G - the global superstar was the Keynote Honoree & Speaker this year. Her wise, words of wisdom were graciously received by the more than 250 women who were in attendance. Click the video below to watch the recap and the entire conversation with Becky G and head over to Spoiled Latina Day to view more pictures!

SpoiledLatina partners with Foot Locker for Mother's Day + giveaway!

It’s been a while since I wrote a blog post, but in all honesty, this news was too good not to share!

If you follow me on social, you may or may not seen my posts because you know, algorithm. However, I am super excited to partner with Foot Locker on their Mother’s Day campaign where they are celebrating mommy hood. It's a beautiful thing to be recognized, for the hard work and determination it takes into raising our children, while looking comfortably cute and making mommy money making moves!

Foot Locker is a store that no matter what I go to the mall for, I am stopping at Foot Locker for kicks. I love to see the new styles, be inspired to create outfits with their cool streetwear attire and now that I am a mother, my son has become a sneaker aficionado as well.

Fit by Puma

I'm all about comfort and cuteness overload and this Puma outfit screams cuteness overload, I decided to treat myself to matching nails and took a drive to the North Side to Nail'd It and got my sneaker inspired mani. Paola and the girls are always so welcoming, literally my favorite spot!

I’ve been blessed to landed my second partnership with the brand and it feels amazing!

Workout fit, ready for Pilates and a walk at Memorial!

Too cute, not to post!

Loved seeing this!  My face on the Foot Locker website, social media pages and marketing materials...surreal!

Happy early Mother’s Day to all the amazing mommy’s making boss moves! Cheers to you, your hustle and everything you believe in!

Dont miss the giveaway happening now till Sunday, May 9th!

Thank you, Foot Locker!

Intimate Conversation with Suzette Quintanilla

#TBT of an intimate conversation I had with Suzette at my annual women's empowerment event in 2018. Up until now, only those in attendance were able to witness this conversation. So many people thought I couldn't pull this off, but little do they know, I make it happen, anywhere!!

 Enjoy!

Virtual Spoiled Latina Day 2020 - part 1

The 5th annual Spoiled Latina Day celebration was a success even through a pandemic.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go along with making my annual event happen, but the more and more I thought about it, I was more eager to do it. I knew things would be different and that I may or may not have the opportunity to hold an in person event. Ultimately, I didn't want to risk it - I decided to take the show on the road, well virtual!

If you didn't attend the online virtual LIVE event, you missed a good time. Luckily, we have playback!

Below are the first 2 videos of Spoiled Latina Day. The introduction and welcome along with my first panel with Celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez, Beauty Public Relations account executive Jasmyn Sanchez and Attorney and Business Consultant Alexxi McWhinney.  We talked about Capitalizing on ones influence. Our conversation wasn’t long enough but lots of great information was exchanged. We had a few technical difficulties at times but we pushed through.

Huge shout out to the attendees, The chat room was poppin!!
Attendees stayed connected and immediately hit it off in the networking area, the feedback from everyone. was amazing!

Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen!

YES To The Census!

Hey guys!
You may have noticed a letter from the Census in the mail recently. That' because in mid-March, homes across the country began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 Census. It has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone or by mail—all without having to meet a census taker. I literally just finished doing mine for my house hold and it took less than 10 minutes of my life.

In doing my part to support the importance of the Census, I recently stopped by one of the murals actually this was the first mural in Houston to go up. In collaboration with UpArt Studio the Census is doing its part to spread the word about the importance of filling out the forms and since we love art in Houston, what better way to collaborate  with a diverse group of artist from Up Art Studio.
Remember guys, the 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Lets do our part and say
#YESToTheCensus
