Mexico vs Honduras Houston fun

Mexico vs Honduras Houston fun

I had a blast at the Mexico vs Honduras game a few days ago here in Houston.  It's always a fun experience being around nothing but Latinos and Latinos from Mexico cheering on their country and the pride that goes along with being Mexican.

Traffic was horrible, it was raining, I live extremely far but of course we made it right on time. I grabbed our passes and we walked onto the field… Well on the field but on the sidelines.  We watched the Mexican and the Honduran team warm-up, of course took a million selfies and more photos and then proceeded to our suite.

Although it was a tie game to a friendly match, we did witness a little fight and fans throwing food and drinks to the field.

Viva Mexico and Hispanic Heritage Month

It's Hispanic Heritage Month and I couldn't be more excited!
Hispanic Heritage celebrations since 1968 were celebrated for a week until President Reagan declared it to be celebrated a whole month back in 1988.  September 15th- October 16th;  is now Hispanic Heritage Month. Celebrating the Hispanics that came before me and the legacy they have left behind for us to learn about and teach our children about.

I have created my personal Pinterest board that I will be updating frequently this month with some of my favorite things to eat, stories that I will share with my son and fascinating facts about hispanics and the beautiful culture that we bring.

Happy Independence Day to Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Chile (9/18) Belize (9/21)  and of course to my motherland, MEXICO! ( I was born in the US but my roots are Mexican)

Saludos to all my hispanic brothers and sisters, who are making a difference in society and following your dreams to leave your own legacy.  We, Latinos are the driving force in US economics today and if you didn't know the major minority. We hold offices in government, business, sports and entertainment and we aren't going anywhere!

Viva Los Latinos!

Marco Antonio Solis & Ana Gabriel concert

Monday, August 22, 2011

I had a blast at the Ana Gabriel & Marco Antonio Solis concert along with my friend Roxxi Jane, who invited me. We had 5th row Center seats, which made the show that much better! We initially were taking our mothers because they are both fans of theirs and it was a ladies night out...turned out our mothers couldn't make it so we went together which was still a fun ladies night! We walked into the Toyota Center, bought a drink and while doing so, we heard Ana Gabriel on stage, just hearing her voice and the song, both Roxxi and I literally started tearing up thinking of our lovely mothers. It was such a great show, great energy and awesome time going down our musical memory lane.
