Pretty in Pink - OOTD

Pretty in Pink - OOTD

There is something about the color pink that makes me smile. Its my absolute favorite color. So when I visited the Marshall's store in Miami looking for a bathing suit, somehow I managed to make it to the dress area (its the natural shopper in me) I found this dress. The dress was on sale, took it to the dressing room to try it on and it fit perfectly. I had to buy it. This was my second time wearing the dress, I paired it with a pair of low heels I purchased at Nordstrom and wanded my hair for a wavy look.

I had to film a segment with a local TV station and this made the perfect look. Never under estimate what you can find at Marshalls. It may be difficult when looking through the racks to find the right piece but with a good attitude and some time you'll find it or if you're lucky, it'll find you.

SpoiledLatina loves cars - Houston Auto Show

Lizza in the House!
Houston, We have Cars!
Lots of them and they are all different from nice to big, round, spacious, tiny, affordable, expensive and everything in between. The Houston Auto Show was the place to be at this past weekend. NRG Park is where all the fun was at. If you had been watching my snaps from earlier that week, you saw that I was at the #HoustonAutoShow on Wednesday having a ball!?

How fun is it to walk around a big open space filled with all types of cars? Chevrolet, GMC, Ford,
Toyota,  Jeep, Mercedes, BMW, VW you name the car and they were there. All except for RR.  I love being in a room of "inspiration" the "one day, I'm going to be driving in the Mercedes G-Wagon" moments fill my heart and get me motivated to keep on pushing.

#ArribaYLejos Tide and Gain team up with Safe Kids Worldwide
My beautiful niece Melody and my son Anthony
I am collaborating with Tide and Gain to bring you tips on how to keep your home safe for our little loving creatures.  It is summer time and kids are not at school which means they are trying to get into anything they can get their hands on.  Young children are explorers often by touch and at times they want to taste and put things in their mouths. My son is one of those explorers, so I am glad that Safe Kids Worldwide, Tide and Gain have teamed up to teach parents about keeping kids safe around laundry packets.

With liquid laundry packets gaining popularity, now used by 20 percent of U.S. households (including ours), parents need to be aware of this emerging risk for children.
Did you know that between 2012 and 2013, more than 700 children who were 5 and under experienced serious effects as a result of liquid laundry packets, with the impact greatest among 1 and 2 year olds?
In fact, the poison centers received more than 33,000 calls from 2012 through May 2015.

Parents we must do better!

As parents who want to keep the house clean and organized, we must be aware of where we store our hazardous cleaning products. If children get into laundry packets, the health risk can be significant. These powerful packets contain highly concentrated detergent that may cause loss of vision, severe eye burns, difficulty breathing, excessive vomiting...all in all not something we want our children to experience.

Helpful Tips:

  • Whatever you do with your cleaning supplies, make sure that you keep them Arriba y Lejos -up and away from our little people and even our puppies.  High and up behind a locked door.  Don't keep them on the ground close to make it easier on you.
  • Lock Laundry rooms - they often get forgotten about, because we think "it's the laundry room, the kids won't come in and play in here". Well, lets think about this again, it's summer time and lets say they want to play hide and go seek in the house...a good place to hide is the laundry room and if your child is anything like mine. He wants to discover new things and may find that the liquid laundry packets looks cool and smooshy, just never know what they will do with it.
  • Keep packets in their original container and keep them closed
  • IF a children gets into them, call the Poison Help Number immediately, 1800-222-1222

All opinions expressed are my own. Thanks to Tide PODS & Gain Flings for sponsoring this post.

Land O' Lakes Butter with Canola Oil *Giveaway
Hey guys! How many of you love butter but hate when you take it out of the fridge and spread it and it tears yours bread? Yeah,  I hate that too. Recently, I tried Land O' Lakes with Canola Oil and discovered its great flavor but also the fact that it is made by 3 ingredients. How cool is that?!
Land O' Lakes tastes good because it is made with Canola Oil, salt and sweet cream -yup, that's it! And guess what?! It spreadable convenience is reason in itself to try it for yourself.

Made of 3 Ingredients:
1. Sweet Cream
2.Canola Oil
3. Salt

Another reason, I am loving Land O' Lakes is because it is so versatile and its taste and performance is the same as margarines minus the 15 ingredients. It can be used for spreading on your favorite breads and pastries, or as a topping for sides or favorite dinners. Land O' Lakes shares recipes on their website for our meal preparations like the one below.

I love me some crispy garlic & butter green beans!

I met Choncha The Chola and I love her!
So this past weekend, I met Choncha the Chola ask as Cammjay. A humble Latino from the west coast who was in Houston supporting Boomcack at his make up event(previous post) Honestly, I found out who Choncha was that day and so glad I did. His energy, humbleness and desire to be a positive impact on everyone through his crazy sarcasm and wit is genius. As I sat in the audience watching him speak about himself and his background and why he is using his platform to be an influence, I felt I had to chat a little with him and pick his brain. *I filmed this the same day, I filmed the NFL post just later that day - so pardon if I'm looking a little rough. lol

Cammjay shares hilarious videos on his youtube channel that you must watch.

enjoy!
