Dia de los Ninos project with AC

Happy Monday loved ones!

If you have kids, you know that when they get out of school those little creatures walk out hungry and always want a snack. So in honor of Dia de los Niños, Anthony and I baked a cake. We didn't just bake any cake, we baked a Cocoa Puffs Chocolate cake with marshmallows  If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, than you know I spend a whole lot of time with him and you may have noticed he loves him some Cocoa Puffs and chocolate cake so why not combine his favorites into one?!

I went to the quericavida.com for inspiration but Anthony is simple and picky, you know how kids are so we agreed on this other option, which was simple and delicious!

We took a trip to Wal-Mart over the weekend and purchased a family size box of Cocoa Puffs, cake ingredients and I promised Anthony that he would decorate the cake and that I would bake it while he was at school. Monday after school school, he surely asked if I had baked the cake? Unfortunately for him, I had not (mommy was busy) but I did tell him he would be my assistant chef aka little helper as soon as we arrived home and he was excited about that!

We got our ingredients together and began our project.

Watch the video, its cute!
Remember to enjoy some quality time with your children. We live in a super fast paced world that  creating lasting memories with them is key and Big G Cereals helps create those loving, fun and delicious moments for us here at home.

Ingredients I used:
General Mills Cocoa Puffs
marshmallows
chocolate cake mix
chocolate icing
and lots of love

Happy Monday SpoiledOnes!

Most of us are relaxing at home, and off from work enjoying this President's Day. Anthony stayed home today and is spending time with his cousin that due to parenting schedules, they don't see each other too often.

The weekend was exciting for us. Saturday, we enjoyed the first part of our day at the Children's Museum of Houston. Curious George was in town and was offering photo opps with all the children and parents in celebration of his 75th Anniversary. What a wonderful way for the children to learn about one of their favorite characters by visiting him participating in all the fun activities that the museum offers. Later we made it out to Discovery Green to enjoy the rest of the beautiful Saturday weather. Anthony enjoyed The Trompos or the spinning tops that are presently downtown this fall - Los Trompos are interactive art installation by internationally-acclaimed Mexico City designers Héctor Esrawe and Ignacio Cadena.

Sprout Channel New Original Series "FLOOGALS" premieres January 23rd!

Friday, January 22, 2016

If you are a parent than you know about Sprout Channel, if you don't know or don't have children, let me school you. Sprout is a 24-hour preschool network, that up until recently my son started growing out of. It's a healthy alternative to watching all of the other channels TV offers.  I'm hoping that tomorrow's launch of the channel's newest original series "Floogals" will captivate his mind and keep his attention. Floogals is super cute, I was invited to a lunch this past week with Sprout Channel's VP of  Programming Lisa O'Brien intruding the show and we caught a sneak peak of the adorable series which follows three inquisitive aliens whom are exploring planet earth. Everyday is an exciting mission of experimentation, learning and discovery with Captain Fleeker, First Officer Flo and Junior Boomer as they explore the human way of life.

The series is created for kids 2-6 years of age and has stunning cinematic quality. Floogals is funny and has smart story telling and each episode is about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary which is Sprout's overall brand identity. I connected with it being a Montessori mom, because watching the series reminds me of how Anthony must have felt when he was learning and discovering new objects and feeling new fabrics and fibers. My little pumpkin is 6 now, and I will continue to make sure his mind is full of positivity and growth and I will encourage him to watch the series.

Hope you guys watch it!

quick video recap of the event and pictures... enjoy!

I am me, because of him

I am me, because of him

❤️4 years ago, I didn't know what I was in for when I received the news I was pregnant. I remember, I went in for a hair appointment and feeling nausea the whole time. After I made it home the feeling got worse and the sickness kicked in. I missed the party I was planning for and headed to the ER for what I believed was food poisoning.

Well the news came in that I was pregnant and I cried. I didn't know if I was ready to be a mom, I was used to being independent and on the go. This would for sure slow me down. ( in a good way) 10 months later Anthony Carter was born. The cutest baby in my world. (Yes, 10 months. He was born late.)

He is such an amazing little boy. His character, personality and his independence is what I love about him. He wants to figure everything out on his own, maybe it's the montessori teachings from his current preschool or maybe because both mommy and daddy are bosses, he has the boss mentality.

I took time off to be a mommy but always kept blogging. My blog has grown, I'm more motivated and in no way did he slow me down. I have been featured in top Latina magazines, recognized among my peers and have the most amazing job.

He is now the driving force of my being. Everything that I do, has a thought of what benefits or not does my son have out of what I'm doing. He is the reason for my being. I love him.

I am me, because of him.

Feliz Cumpleaños mi amorsito! Wishing you many many more years to come!

Xo!

J.Lo wardrobe malfunction AGAIN

J.Lo wardrobe malfunction AGAIN

Jennifer Lopez is on tour and last week while in Bologna, Italy she accidentally let her nip slip.

This comes to no surprise to me because when I went to see her Houston concert last month and witness the Bronx beauty get down like the power dancer that she is, I was wondering if the nip was going to slip. lol

Witnesses to the show say, her dancers help her maneuver her malfunction and she bounced back like a champ.  Although Italianos are used to seeing topless women, they are not used to seeing topless J.Lo's.

This is the 2nd time in a week where Jenny from the block has a wardrobe malfunction. She was also caught wearing Spanx....(which to me, is no big deal. I know people who double spanx as a matter of fact) at her concert, and come to think of it...when I saw her here in Houston last month I thought she looked AMAZING, and never questioned the spanx, but from the pics and videos a she was wearing them here too.  See for yourself

She has been on the road with her childen...that lil boy is looking exactly like his daddy. Que Chulo...el nino digo :)
