Road Trip to Corpus for Selena Festival

A few weeks ago, I took a road trip to Corpus Christi to visit the Selena museum and memorial during the Selena "Fiesta De La Flor" festival. Had a fun 2 days with my friends, we laughed a whole lot, visited the grave site, the memorial on Ocean drive and walked through the museum. Seeing all her clothes which didn't look expensive while in glass but on Selena the outfits looked expensive. The many awards she had received while alive, were a sad memory for those visiting that weekend.

Selena Quintanilla, the Queen of Tex-Mex would've been 43 years old today. Although it's been 19 years since her death, we remember her as the beautiful, vibrant singer that brought two worlds together. In the two decades that have gone by, there has still been noting quite like the sound of Selena. Read what we wrote earlier this week.
So in honor of Selena Day put on Bidi Bidi Bom Bom and celebrate her mark on this world.

My inner bookworm just went crazy. I am so giddy that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be coming out November 22nd. But I am even more excited to let y'all know that you and a friend could be selected to receive tickets to the advanced screening here in Houston on November 19th!
You'll be able to see the second installment of the trilogy where Katniss Everdeen, played by the lovable Jennifer Lawrence, and Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson, are on their "Victor's Tour." During the tour, Katniss begins to notice that a rebellion is in the works. But the Capitol still has a lot of control over the districts and is preparing for the 75th Hunger Games.
