Mexico vs Honduras Houston fun

I had a blast at the Mexico vs Honduras game a few days ago here in Houston.  It's always a fun experience being around nothing but Latinos and Latinos from Mexico cheering on their country and the pride that goes along with being Mexican.

Traffic was horrible, it was raining, I live extremely far but of course we made it right on time. I grabbed our passes and we walked onto the field… Well on the field but on the sidelines.  We watched the Mexican and the Honduran team warm-up, of course took a million selfies and more photos and then proceeded to our suite.

Although it was a tie game to a friendly match, we did witness a little fight and fans throwing food and drinks to the field.

NRG/Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

If you didn't know NRG Energy, Inc. is the official energy partner of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I mean, someone has to make sure the concert lights turn on and carnival rides work. right?!  The Energy giant also has created a cool electric service plan for those people who want to make the switch and also love incentives.  The Rodeo Plan is tailored for the ultimate Rodeo fan, the plan delivers competitive pricing and also offers a free pair of Justin® boots by signing up.

  • customers receive competitive pricing for 12 months
  • 24/7 service and support online or by phone
  • access to information and tools that put you in control of your electricity budget

NRG’s partnership with the Rodeo doesn’t stop there, as they have teamed up to provide personal power solutions that when we are at the rodeo our phones aka our lives don't power off!! The way it works is there are booths powered by NRG around the city of Houston or at local events, they have a battery pack that can be rented for $3.99 a week you use it and return it to any kiosk. They can also plug to a Street Charger which is a 12.5 foot tower equipped with solar panels and a bevy of mobile device charging cables where we can charge our phone for free!!

The power packs look like this, very easy to carry.

look for them around Houston and see you at the Rodeo!
